Shocking scenes at the French Open as Andrey Rublev lost his cool once again. It had been just a few months when he was suspended from a match for losing his calm, and once again the Russian got all charged up during his match.
Rublev was up against Matteo Arnaldi in the third round of the French Open and needed the win to make it to the fourth round. However, from the get-go, the Russian was on the back foot. Arnaldi had taken a quick lead and put Rublev under immense pressure. As the pressure built, Rublev inched closer to a loss and all the frustration erupted over a line call.
As the chair umpire walked over to mark the mall which had landed in, Rublev could not believe his eyes and tried to argue with the umpire before releasing it on his racket. As she got very restless, the pressure mounted on and Rublev just took it out on his racket throwing it, hitting it on his new and the ground.
Completely disappointed with myself the way I behaved, the way I performed, and I don’t remember behaving worse on a slams ever. I think it was first time I ever behave that bad.said Andrey Rublev via Roland Garros Press
I feel like now and then I'll think Andrey Rublev has managed to get help for his self-destructive mentality and then one bad day comes along and it's back to square one.
Really hope he gets the help he requires for his long-term wellbeing. pic.twitter.com/8RoRUMo25X

Andrey Rublev regrets losing many opportunities as he was ousted in the second round of the French Open
Russian ace Andrey Rublev recently failed to bring his best performance in the third round of the French Open. Despite entering the Slam high on momentum and confidence, the Russian did not expect the Arnaldi battle.
I had a lot of opportunities, a lot of chances, and I didn’t make it. Then in one moment, if I completely lose it, and that’s it when I had, yeah, so many chances to come back, to lead again or to take the lead, and I didn’t make it, I didn’t make it, I didn’t make it. Then I completely, I was keeping it inside, and when I lose the break second time in the second set, I lose it completely.said Andrey Rublev via Roland Garros Press

Rublev himself was disappointed with how he played and how he failed to grab certain opportunities that cost him the match. Ultimately, the pressure got to him before he could come back and gave Arnaldi a clear opportunity to win.
