Canyon County, ID (CBS2) — A Meridian Man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for vehicular Manslaughter for a Feb. 2023 crash that killed Loma Bittick a Greenleaf volleyball coach.
28-year-old Shawn Mykle Stacy of Meridian was sentenced to two years fixed with 15 years indeterminate in prison. Stacy's driver's license was also ordered to be suspended for a 20-year period after his release though Stacy may be eligible for restricted driving privileges after a year.
Stacy was also ordered to provide a DNA sample to the Idaho database and pay a $5,000 civil penalty along with fines, court costs, and public defender reimbursement.
Stacy was arrested in January 2024 on one charge of vehicular manslaughter related to a fatal accident on Lower Pleasant Ridge Road in February 2023 that resulted in the death of Loma Bittick.
The accident also seriously injured her husband, Jim Bittick. Idaho State Police (ISP) handled the crash investigation.
