Some four-legged friends are helping bring smiles and relieve some stress to those in our community.

The Go Team Therapy and Crisis Dogs have been serving the Treasure Valley since 2016.

"We have hundreds of members throughout the country, and we take our dogs anywhere that dogs can make a difference in someone's life," said DeAnn Stoolman, coordinator and trainer for team Idaho.

From assisted living facilities, schools, airports and much more, the Go Team is there to help.

"We are out in the community everywhere in the valley every single week, " Stoolman said.

The team is made up of over 60 members, and every dog is highly trained.

"They have to have a very high level of obedience to even qualify to train with the go team therapy dogs, and once you reach that level, then if you're asked to train with us, we go through an extensive two-day training which we have coming up soon," Stoolman said.

"We're giving back to the community, but we're with our dogs at the same time. Letting our dogs do the work, and we're just kind of along for the ride, just to hold the leash and let them do the work. They're the ones that really do the work."

The Go Team is actively recruiting new volunteers and their furry friends. If you want to get involved, you can find more information on their website HERE.
